Obituary for Robert Terrell Anderson, Jr.

Mr. Robert Terrell Anderson, Jr., 70, of Perkinston went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Perkinston.
Mr. Anderson was born in West Point, MS and then moved to Tennessee, where he graduated from Raymer High School in Raymer, TN in 1965. After graduation, he joined the US Army and proudly served in Vietnam, where he received the Purple Heart and obtained the rank of sergeant. He was of the Baptist Faith and he worked for the lumber business as a salesman for over 40 years. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his “coffee club” and tinkering with his antique car and going to car shows with his car club. He also volunteered for Caring and Sharing to feed the needy on Christmas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mattie Catherine Anderson, Sr.; granddaughter, Hannah Bullen and his uncle, Earl Hill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Pat Anderson of Perkinston; two daughters, Shea (Harry) Mercer of Memphis, TN and Jennifer (Jeff) Bullen of Perkinston, MS; seven grandchildren, Hunter, Emilee, Sam, Ava, Landon, Emerson and Annie; two loving sisters, Barbara (Edwin) Mitchell of Starkville, MS and Sandra (Billy) McLemore of Aberdeen, MS and a host of family and friends that were faithful to him until the end.
Services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, November 24, 2017 at Bond Baptist Church in Wiggins with visitation from 12:00pm to service time at the church. Interment will follow at Wiggins City Cemetery in Wiggins.
In lieu of flowers, he requested that donations be made to Bond Baptist Church or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins is in charge of arrangements.
