Obituary for Michael Ray Vincent

Michael Ray Vincent, 58, of Hattiesburg, formerly of Jacksboro, Tenn., passed away due to a lengthy battle with cancer, Sunday, July 16, 2017 at his home. Services will be Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Midway First Baptist Church in Sumrall followed by burial in the church cemetery. Michael was a member of Midway First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #635. He changed many people’s lives through Alcoholics Anonymous. Everyone loved to hear his message. He was an active member of AA groups, Grace Group and Jaywalkers in Hattiesburg. He retired from Mississippi Power after 33 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, J Will and Wanda Vincent; his second parents, Ken and Ruth Douglas; grandparents, Dan and Addie Lee Vincent and Marion Walker and Lucy Lee; one brother, Miles Jerome Vincent; one sister, Terry Lynn Hall; and one nephew, Jeremy Duane Vincent. He is survived by two sons, Michael Shawn (Lori) Vincent and Garrett William Vincent; three daughters, Tana Lynn (Jimmy) Daugherty, Amy De’Neil Vincent, and Ashton Lee-Anne Vincent; three brothers, Darryl Duane Vincent, Jay Terrance Vincent, and Mark Vincent Douglas; two sisters, Michelle Renee’ Watson and Autumn Elane Mays; 11 grandchildren; brothers from another mother, Don Robinson and Terry McDaniel; and many beloved friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Midway First Baptist Church.
