Obituary for Jack Carter

Jack Carter, 56, of Petal, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Services will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Moore Petal Chapel followed by burial in Garner-Gillis Cemetery.
Mr. Carter was a member of Neely Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer. He also loved NASCAR and the New Orleans Saints.
He was preceded in death by his father, James “Mickey” Carter, Sr.
He was survived by two daughters, Jacqlyn Carter and Sommer (Shane) White, both of Ellisville; two sons, Timothy McCraw of Lafayette, La. and Dakota McCraw of Alvin, Tex.; his mother, Artemis “Billie” Carter of Hattiesburg; four brothers, Don Garner of New Augusta, Alvis Garner of New Augusta, Carl Garner of Petal, and James Carter, Jr. of Utica, Miss.; two sisters, Abberly Connerly of Utica, Miss. and Irene Carter of Ocean Springs; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal.
