Obituary for Hilda Ross Lacy

Hilda Ross Lacy, 77, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018, in
Hattiesburg. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Hattiesburg Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with interment in Highland Cemetery to follow.
She was born on August 28, 1940 in Hattiesburg to Mr. and Mrs. William Burkett Ross, Sr. Mrs. Lacy was a graduate of Hattiesburg High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She was employed with Eastern Airlines as a flight attendant for 18 years, and was part owner of Southern Bowling Lanes in Petal. She was an active member of Living Word Church in Hattiesburg. In her later years, she enjoyed fishing, traveling, and her beloved pets. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burkett Ross, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, James Lacy; brothers, Burkett Ross, Jr. (Jackie) and Wayne Ross (Melinda); sister, Elaine Ross McMahan; brothers-in-law Lamont Lacy, Bill Lacy and Jack Lacy (deceased); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to friend Ellen Lee and caregiver Lindy Lee.
Visitation for Mrs. Lacy will be 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Hattiesburg Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
