Obituary for Gertie R. Smith

Gertie R. Smith, 83, of Lumberton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 30, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a faithful member of Elder Ridge Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, John P. and Rebecca Lee; her siblings, Girtha Davis, Hazel Dearman, Johnnie Daughdrill, Stanton Lee, Dudley Lee, Billy Lee and her son-in-law, Sherrill Corban.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William Plummer Smith of Lumberton; two sons, Kevin Smith of Lumberton and Larry Smith (Rhonda) of Oak Grove; two daughters, Lisa Jones (Kyle) of Lumberton and Cara Corban Seals (Dwight) of Lumberton; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and one brother, James Wayne Lee of Lumberton.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.- until service time at Elder Ridge Baptist Church, Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Elder RIdge Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
