Obituary for Earlyne Frances Reynolds Evans Taylor

Earlyne Frances Reynolds Evans Taylor of Wiggins died February 5th in Forrest General Hospital after a brief stay. She had a strong will and was determined to rehabilitate from a broken hip, but lost her fight.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Candice Reynolds; brother, E.M. “Buck” Reynolds; two sisters, Flo Lowery and Mildred Hatten; first husband, Clark C. Evans and second husband, W.L. Taylor and her fiancée, Clay “Cub” Nelson.
She is survived by her son, David Earl Evans (Renee McCullen) of Durham, NC and numerous other family members.
The family will receive friends at Moore Funeral Home on Friday, February 9th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 10th, at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church of Wiggins. You are encouraged to wear colorful attire to honor Earlyne’s colorful personality.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Shelton Baptist Church in support of their upcoming mission to Chosica, a remote village in Peru. The mission will focus on Vacation Bible School outreach for children, Bible study and leadership training for local church members and mudslide recovery work. This will be Earlyne’s niece and nephew’s sixth Peruvian mission since 2012. Donations will be used to help provide supplies, transportation while in Peru, housing, translators and evangelistic materials for the upcoming trip.
